TEEN Mom star Kailyn Lowry has revealed her lawsuit against Briana DeJesus cost her $200,000 just to ‘lose’ the case.
The MTV star has sued his bandmate after Briana alleged Kailyn, 30, was dropped from an episode of the show because she allegedly ‘physically beat’ Chris Lopez and broke into her girlfriend’s house. mother.
Kailyn, 30, appeared on former Bachelor star Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files, where she briefly discussed the legal drama.
While talking about the heated court case between exes Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, Nick, 41, asked: “Do we know why this is being shown as, like, a reality TV show? How is it decided whether the courts have cameras or not?”
The mother-of-four replied: “I don’t know. I just got out of a libel suit.”
Nick inquired about the case and Kailyn’s reasons for suing, at which point she replied, “Yeah, I lost. Well, that got thrown out. I didn’t lose.”
She continued, “And it was a waste of $200,000, but you live and you learn.”
Nick asked, “What light can you shed on this? Like, why did you lose?”
The Pennsylvania native replied, “I actually don’t regret it because I stood up for myself. I felt like I took a lot of things and I stood up for myself.
“So ultimately, if nothing else, that’s what I got out of it.”

As for why the case was dismissed, Kailyn explained, “It was dismissed because – I personally think it was because I had to sue her in the state of Florida, and they see things very differently.
“But the judge didn’t feel like I had proven wickedness, like she deliberately spread rumors and lies, you know?”
Fans on Reddit were quick to criticize her for spending so much money on a losing run.
One wrote: “wow. that money could have been invested in the education of his children….”
Another commented: “She makes me take all this money out of her pocket… just to be nosy and petty.”
A third user wrote, “Her sense of money is so disturbing. She’s fine but is she insanely rich…no. S
“He makes stupid money mistakes and it will catch up with her. He’s the parent we all hate at school. She’ll spend crazy amounts of money defending her ego, but when it comes to school donations, she won’t be anywhere in sight.”
WINNING ON THE PITCH
Briana confirmed her victory over her co-star in their defamation lawsuit early last week.
The Sun has confirmed that Briana has won the libel suit against Kailyn after Celebuzz broke the news on Monday.
The pair clashed in court last month after Kailyn accused Briana of making “false” comments about physically abusing her ex Chris.
The mother-of-four has sued her bandmate for publicly suggesting she beat up baby daddy Chris on Twitter.
Briana then requested that the case be dismissed and the judge agreed.
“I won,” Briana told Celebuzz in a short statement.
According to documents obtained by The Sun, the case was dismissed in favor of the Florida native as the judge found Kailyn’s allegations to be unfounded.
The judge agreed with Briana that Kailyn was required to inform her that she was about to file a lawsuit, but she did not comply.
Regarding Briana’s online comments, the court official said, “The written message cannot be considered defamatory because, in law, it contained protected speech regarding an opinion or was factually accurate.”
The judge added: “It was widely publicized that Lowry was arrested for domestic violence and Soto’s comments on the matter were essentially true.
“The damage to Lowry’s reputation, if any, had already occurred when the incident was made public by the media.”
The Sun reported extensively on the nasty legal war between the co-stars.
In Kail’s initial lawsuit against Briana filed in June, her legal team claimed her co-star’s comments were untrue and were made “in an attempt to cause harm to Lowry.”
The court documents continued, “The defendant used Lowry to draw further media attention to itself.”
Kailyn went on to explain their long-running feud in court documents filed June 25, which began when Briana joined Teen Mom 2 in 2017.
The TV star claimed her costar “has a habit of making public false statements regarding Lowry’s family life,” including when she allegedly replied to a Twitter user, “[Lowry] gets beaten up by Chris in front of his kids.
Kailyn also mentioned when she was kicked out of the June 8, 2021 Teen Mom 2 episode.
Briana claimed she was not included because she allegedly “committed violent and physical crimes towards Mr. Lopez. The defendant also claimed that Lowry was arrested for breaking and entering the home of Mr. Lopez’s mother.
She alleged that Kailyn “didn’t want to film” the alleged incident.
The Pennsylvania native claimed she did not break into Chris’ mother’s house or beat him up.
She said the statements “threatened” her “ability to earn a living” and that she suffered from “personal humiliation and mental anguish”.
The MTV star asked for $30,000, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, and a jury trial.
In Briana’s response to the complaint, her attorney claimed her client couldn’t have defamed Kailyn with “false” stories because she was arrested for the alleged assault on her ex.
The lawyer wrote: “She was verifiably arrested for this, and his arrest attracted media attention.
