Police Patrol: Powell River RCMP Report
Powell River RCMP reported the following from September 15-21, 2021.

September 20; Cranberry Street, Block 6700
At approximately 2:10 p.m., Powell River RCMP received a report that a woman had stolen mail from a letterbox. The witness provided a description of the woman, which was then located by police. The 39-year-old suspect was arrested for theft and released to appear in Powell River Provincial Court.
September 20; Chemin Malaspina, block 9300
At approximately 12:47 am, Powell River RCMP responded to a single vehicle overturn. Police spoke to the driver, who was uninjured and the sole occupant of the vehicle. Police detected signs of alcohol impairment and the 29-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving of a motor vehicle. The woman was transported to the RCMP detachment where breath samples were taken by a trained technician. The samples exceeded the legal limit, so the driver received a 90-day driving ban and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
September 17; Avenue Marine, block 4500
A pair of inline skates were found and converted into an RCMP detachment. The police are looking for the owner, who is asked to contact the detachment for the return of his property. The owner must provide a precise description corresponding to the property that has been returned.
September 15; Joyce Avenue, block 4500
An Apple Watch was found behind the Salvation Army and turned into an RCMP detachment. Police are looking for the owner of the watch so that their ownership can be returned. The owners will have to provide a precise description corresponding to the property which has been returned.
