Miami analyst thinks ACC got zero respect in 2022

USC and Miami will face off in the NCAA Tournament.

On paper, this game is a weird one as it feels like both teams were a bit underseeded. The Trojans got the No. 7 seed and Miami the No. 10 seed, although there’s an argument to be made that neither should be where they are.

The ACC has been interesting this season. The conference was, in the opinion of a Miami expert, vastly underestimated by many across the country. Miami Insider Ian Hest not sure why that is.

I do not know why. We’ve overvalued the metrics a lot this season for some reason in college basketball. I think it’s unfortunate that USC got that tie because after watching both teams this year, it seems unfair for both to be a first-round matchup.

For some reason, Ian thinks the ACC has been underestimated nationally as a whole.

Duke is having a good year and is one of the favorites to win the NCAA Tournament. North Carolina upset the Blue Devils and earned a spot in the Field of 68, and Notre Dame and Miami are also on the field.

Wake Forest finished 23-9 overall and narrowly missed the field, earning a No. 2 seed in the NIT, and Virginia Tech snuck into the Big Dance after an ACC Tournament Championship.

It looks like a balanced conference, and Duke has a legitimate chance to win it all.
