Shaquille O’Neal recently shared Dave Chappelle’s opening track on SNL to his Instagram Stories. Incidentally, Chappelle had received support from the Los Angeles Lakers legend following his controversial stand-up which generated a lot of heat. O’Neal had commented on how comedians should be allowed to do their jobs without interference. According to the 7ft giant, jokes shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Meanwhile, the hilarious clip delved into the controversial subject of Kanye West and Kyrie Irving’s recent comments that caused a stir in mainstream media. Irving was banned for five games and Kanye lost his shoe contract with Adidas, following the controversies. Not so long ago, West made certain remarks that generated accusations of anti-Semitism against him.

In the 14-minute clip, Chappelle continued to hilariously taunt Kanye and Irving over their comments. “Before we start tonight, I just wanted to read a brief statement that I prepared “I speak out against anti-Semitism in all its forms, and I stand with my friends in the Jewish community” and that Kanye is how we buy time.” Chappelle jokingly commented on Kanye’s recent behavior. He also cracked a few jokes about Irving’s situation, introducing humor into the tense turmoil all sides are facing.

Chappelle also mentioned the importance of mental health, implying that West’s remarks shouldn’t be taken at face value. “Look, okay, I don’t think Kanye is crazy at all, I think he might not be well. the legendary comedian said, emphasizing that having mental health issues doesn’t drive you “crazy.”

O’Neal supported Chappelle in his efforts, but was not a fan of fellow basketball player Kyrie Irving’s social media posts. The Nets star’s lack of apologetic behavior didn’t sit well with the basketball legend.
