Funding received to support community outreach | Valley


The Gregory B. Davis Foundation and the Roanoke Valley Breast Cancer Coalition received federal funding to support effective community outreach. This outreach is centered on Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. The goal is to share accurate and culturally appropriate information about COVID-19 and influenza vaccines and to connect adults to immunization services.

According to a press release, partner community organizations have received nearly $100,000 to produce programs tailored to communities in the Roanoke Valley. The programs will include three main components.
