Amitabh shared a cryptic blog on his Tumblr account on May 11. In the blog, he talked about the new government guidelines that prohibit social media users with a large number of followers from promoting something without warning.

He wrote: “There are now strict rules and regulations by the GOI (Government of India) and ASCI (Advertising Standards Council of India) guidelines, I think that’s who they are, who have now ruled than influencers – new terminology for those who put up product photos with a credit or product photos, to indicate that they are the sponsors, promoters etc., or in partnership.”

He added: “Otherwise it becomes illegal. So many of my posts have been warned that the change needs to be made…otherwise…ya..!! It’s a hard life isn’t it. And all the ‘biggies’ who are buying out the ‘big guys’ of social media give reasons for the incentives, raises, etc., on the numbers – because that’s what gets them the publicity…”

Amitabh also said that trolling is seen as an asset in such cases as it encourages debate and keeps the topic alive, increasing the numbers. He wrote, “The more you abuse me, the more you criticize me, the higher I will rise!! Bhaiyu is Amitabh’s nickname for his son Abhishek Bachchan, who had played an unconfirmed Dhirubhai Ambani-inspired role in the 2007 film Guru.

Amitabh also shared a post about the new guidelines on his Instagram account, writing alongside a photo of himself, “cropped, adjusted in accordance with new ASCI laws… But soon the real facts will be on. the point of telling the story of The Image.”

Recently, Amitabh also deleted a post he posted about Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming movie Dhaakad. The veteran actor had shared a teaser of Dhaakad’s song She’s on Fire on his Instagram account, with the caption “all good wishes”, but deleted it after a few minutes without any explanation.

Kangana had reacted to this in a chat with Tried & Refused Productions, saying, “There are personal insecurities, they’re all trying to hide behind ‘Oh, we’re going to be boycotted by the industry’. I don’t think so. Of course, there are likes and dislikes, but it’s so striking that Mr. Bachchan tweeted the trailer and then deleted it in five to ten minutes. of his stature, what pressure will he have? I don’t know, I find this situation a bit complex. They also have their own personal stuff and then there is also industry stuff. Dhaakad, who also puts starring Saswata Chatterjee, Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta, is set to hit theaters on May 20.
